How KCCS OCXO, GPSDO, VCXO and rubidium parts map onto Microchip, Oscilloquartz, Rakon and IQD footprints — with a free cross-reference report.
Designers at North American and European OEMs have, for a decade or more, specified oscillators from Microchip (formerly SiTime's quartz line and the acquired Oscilloquartz), Rakon, IQD Frequency Products, FeiZhou and Frequency Electronics. Today two pressures push engineering teams to evaluate a second source: long lead times from the incumbents (often 16–26 weeks) and cost reduction programs after component qualification. KCCS has built its quartz and disciplined oscillator families around the packages and performance levels these western parts occupy, so a second source is usually a drop-in — not a redesign.
| Incumbent Family | Package / Class | KCCS Equivalent Family | Typical Match |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oscilloquartz OCXO (8600 / 8607 / 8608) | DIP 14×9 / 25×25, ultra-low ADEV | KONS450 / KONS350 / KONS327 | ADEV 8E-14 @10s, pin-out compatible |
| Microchip / Saftime GPSDO | 1PPS-disciplined module | KDO65 / KDO27 | ±1.5 μs/24h holdover, 10 MHz sine |
| Rakon OCXO / TCXO (NT Series) | SMD 14×9, 20×20, 25×25 | KOT22 / KOM09 / KT05 | ±0.1–0.5 ppb, same footprint |
| IQD VCXO / OCXO | SMD 7050 / 1409 | KV09 / KOM05 | Pulling range ±20 ppm, same outline |
| FEI / FEI Rubidium | 10 MHz rubidium standard | KRA50 / KRA76 | Aging ≤1.5E-12/day, same output |
We do not promise "identical" without seeing the incumbent datasheet. Some western parts have proprietary trimming curves, custom output waveforms or military screening that require an explicit engineering agreement. Send us the part number and we will tell you honestly whether a drop-in exists or whether a small redesign is required.
