Frequently Asked Questions

What is a TCXO and how does it compare to OCXO?

A Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) uses electronic circuitry to counteract the quartz crystal's temperature-frequency characteristics, achieving stability from 0.1 to 5 ppm. TCXOs are lower power and smaller than OCXOs (which use an oven for 0.01-50 ppb stability) but offer lower stability.

What TCXO frequencies does KCCS offer?

KCCS TCXO series includes: 26 MHz (+/-0.5 ppm, SMD2016) for GPS/GNSS modules; 19.2 MHz (+/-0.1 ppm, SMD3225) for LTE small cells and professional radio; and 32.768 kHz (2 uA, +/-4.0 ppm) for RTC and battery-powered applications. Custom frequencies available.
